The Differential Evolution Algorithm for Solving the Problem of Size Selection and Location of Infectious Waste Incinerator

The disposal of infectious waste remains one the most severe medical, social, and environmental problems in almost every country. Choosing right location arranging suitable transport route is main issues managing hazardous waste. Identifying a site for complicated process because both tangible intangible factors must be considered together, it also depends on various rules regulations. This research aims to solve problem size selection incinerators 109 community hospitals upper part northeastern Thailand by applying differential evolution algorithm with objective minimizing total system cost, which consists cost transporting waste, fixed costs, variable operating incinerator. developed produces vectors that differ from conventional evolution. Instead single set vectors, three are created search solution. In addition solving case study, this conducts numerical experiments randomly generated data measure performance algorithm. results show proposed efficiently solves can find global optimal solution studied.
